My Marla has been competing in pageants now for almost three years. She loves it, feels great and I couldn't be more proud of her. My only real regret is the amount of money that I spend on clothing; shoes, makeup and everything else that goes with pageantry can become excessive. After watching a recent episode of Dr.Phil I realized that perhaps changes needed to be made so that I didn't find my family and myself in financial ruin. As a result, I discovered my savior eBay! The best selection and a great bargain. At first I found the whole eBay experience rather daunting. Fortunately, I have a rather gifted nephew who is quite computer literate and he introduced me to this program called Nabit. You can download it onto your computer and put in your maximum amount that you are willing to pay, then you can simply walk away and it will automatically raise your bid until that maximum amount. My husband is probably the most grateful since I am able to budget myself so that things don't get out of hand!
I hope that this can be a saving grace for any other pageant moms out there in a similar situation!
